The Shanghai Beidou Navigation R&D and Transformation Functional Platform (referred to as "Beidou Navigation Functional Platform") is a critical component of Shanghai's Science and Technology Innovation Center, recognized as one of the initial 16 platforms to pass evaluation. It focuses on providing common technical services such as R&D, standards, testing, and holistic solutions in high-availability and high-precision integrated navigation technologies for complex scenarios. It has established a research support system for adaptive navigation technologies, aiming to advance the construction of a globally influential navigation innovation center. Through technology R&D and scientific achievement transformation, it promotes the development of Beidou navigation industry in Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta region.
The Beidou Navigation Functional Platform has developed the largest indoor testing ground for sub-millimeter-level low-speed unmanned system positioning navigation in China. Located in the Beidou Industrial Park, Gao Guang Road, Xihongqiao, it covers an area of approximately 3, 000 square meters, providing specialized testing services for navigation enterprises nationwide. The indoor testing ground primarily serves low-speed intelligent unmanned systems such as drones and ground robots, offering precise measurement and performance evaluation of navigation, perception, and control capabilities in typical scenarios. Supported by fiscal funding, the platform has established a series of test scenarios, focusing on data-driven R&D and testing services to enhance the technical proficiency and innovation capabilities of upstream, midstream, and downstream enterprises in the domestic navigation industry chain.
