The Shortages of Conventional Filter Housing

When twisting the end cap to the body of filter shell, the sealing gasket round the side of housing top will be prone to generate the friction with screw thread to easily cause the damages or distortions, which lead to seal the filter housing incompletely and result in leaking.

The easy offdrop of the sealing gasket round the side of housing top because of gravity is hard to be found out. If the offdrop were occurring, it would cause filter housing to leak when the water pressure is not stable.

Some of raw edges are prone to emerge form screw thread round the end cap and housing top when the mould of filter housing is overused or aging. As to this traditional sealing design, it will affect the sealing performance of gasket under this status.

The Advantages of New Patent Leakproof Filter Housing

This style uses a new design proposal that the end surface of the filter housing is made a groove in to embed the O-ring seal whose thickness is more than the depth of the groove with accordingly the matching shape at the opposite right bottom of end cap. This design brings several benefits:

One is to avoid the friction between O-ring seal and the inwall of end cap so there are no damages or distortions of the O-ring seal;

Another is to prevent the O-ring from dropping off from the groove because of gravity when setting up the filter housing upstanding;

Finally, there is no effection on the sealing performance of O-ring even if the mould of filter housing gets aging or overused to cause raw edges.
