INDICATIONS
Severe inflammatory or degenerative rheumatic diseases: rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, arthritis, spondyloarthropathy, painful spinal syndrome, extra-articular rheumatism. Acute gout attacks. Renal colic and biliary colic. Pain, inflammation and swelling following injury or surgery.
Adverse reactions
Gastrointestinal occasionally: epigastric pain, other gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, painful abdominal cramps, dyspepsia, bloating, lack of appetite, anorexia. Rarely: gastrointestinal bleeding (vomiting blood, tarry stools and blood in the stool), peptic ulcers with or without bleeding or perforation. Individual cases: lower abdominal symptoms (e.g. non-specific bleeding ulcerative colitis or worsening of limited enteritis), stomatitis, tongue inflammation, oesophageal injury, diaphragmatic bowel stricture, constipation, pancreatitis and haemorrhoid attacks.
