Dodecylbenzenesulphonic acid (Dodecylbenzenesulphonic acid) is an organic compound with the formula C18H30SO3, a yellowish to brown viscous liquid. Dissolve in water and generate heat when diluted with water. Slightly soluble in benzene, xylene, easily soluble in methanol, ethanol, propyl alcohol, ether and other organic solvents. It has the functions of emulsifying, dispersing and decontaminating.

Product application

 

Mainly used in the manufacture of anionic surfactants alkyl benzene sulfonate sodium salt, calcium salt and ammonium salt, also used as organochlorine, organophosphorus pesticides and other emulsifiers. It can be used as the curing catalyst of amino baking paint, which is used to prepare various liquid and solid detergents, and also used in various cosmetics formulations. Because it is stable in acidic solution and has good washing performance, it is often used in the preparation of acidic solution detergents such as toilet cleaners.
