Rongalite is white block or crystalline powder, soluble in water.Stable at room temperature, high temperature has a strong reduction, bleaching.When acid is decomposed, its aqueous solution above 60ºC began to decompose out of harmful substances, under 120ºC decomposition produces formaldehyde,
